Three- and four-year-old children may qualify for a full-time spot, with $8,000 toward tuition assistance, in the Virginia Tech Child Development Center for Learning and Research through the Mixed Delivery Preschool Program.

The number of slots are limited; enrollment will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis within program guidelines.

Preschoolers may be eligible to participate in this grant-supported program if their family meets one or more of the following requirements:

  • The family has been negatively impacted by COVID-19;*
  • The family income is at or below 200 percent of federal poverty guidelines (see chart in the program flyer);
  • The family is homeless;
  • One or both parents did not graduate from high school; or
  • The family income is above 200 percent of federal poverty guidelines but at or below 350 percent of federal poverty guidelines for students with diagnosed disabilities or special needs.

*Positions will be limited to 15 percent of capacity filled by this qualification.
