Virginia Tech has launched an online, self-paced diversity education module that is available to all Virginia Tech employees. The Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace module, produced by EverFi, is approximately 45 minutes long. It provides a baseline of language and practices that align with the university’s Principles of Community and includes sections on identity in the workplace, implicit bias, and being an ally.

All employees should have received an invitation email with a personalized access code. If you have not received one, check your spam and clutter folders before contacting the Office for Inclusion and Diversity.

Important Update: The Inclusion in the Workplace module will be integrated into the PageUp system. Anyone who was assigned the module and does not yet have “completed” status either has to complete the training by the end of day on November 20, 2020, or will have to start the module over again in PageUp sometime in January 2021. (“In-process” trainings will not be saved during this migration to PageUp.)

Please note that while this training is encouraged for all employees, it is required for all new graduate and professional students.
