Faculty and staff play an important role in the success of first-generation students, as they have direct contact with them. Charmaine Troy, program director for first-generation student support, will offer a webinar, “Defining the Role of Faculty and Staff in First-Generation Student Success,” on Tuesday, November 10, from 2 to 4 p.m.

This session — the third in a series of Student Advocacy Trainings — will examine the importance of faculty and staff contact with students, and offer tips for supporting the success of first-generation students. Strategies will also be provided on assisting students in the classroom and through student support programming.

The session will be held via Zoom. Visit the registration page here.
