Tom Ewing is a professor in the Department of History at Virginia Tech and the associate dean for graduate studies and research at the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences. He teaches courses in Russian, European, and world history.

Project Support for ISCE / CLAHS

Yancey Crawford, from the Institute for Society, Culture and Environment, is available to provide technical assistance with writing and research endeavors, including: proofreading and formatting proposals and manuscripts; providing assistance with non-technical aspects of proposals such as biosketches, letters of support and other supporting documents; serving as a liaison with the Office of Sponsored Programs to develop budgets and complete Summit applications; and uploading proposals through funding agency submission platforms such as Cayuse and Research.gov. She is also available to search for funding opportunities and past awards, coordinate grant-writing meetings, and support other proposal development activities as needed.

Grant Specialist and Publication Editor – Department of Sociology and CLAHS

She is also available to search for funding opportunities and past awards, coordinate grant-writing meetings, and support other proposal development activities as needed.

She is also available for Post-Award assistance upon request, especially for early-career researchers and those leading major external grants.
