University Libraries has created a physical exhibit in Newman Library that highlights the incredible journeys of Virginia Tech students who have participated in College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences study abroad programs. The exhibit also has a visually rich online complement.

“The exhibit celebrates and brings awareness to study abroad and the lasting impact it has on Virginia Tech and our global community,” said Farida Jalalzai, associate dean for global initiatives and engagement in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences. “Studying abroad is an experience like no other, and we hope that seeing these students in action will make other undergraduates consider pursuing a study abroad program in the future.”

More information on study abroad programs is available on the college’s study abroad page and the Global Education Office website.

“As this exhibit reminds us, there are many wonderful places to go,” said Jalalzai, who is also a professor of political science. “We hope this exhibit inspires students to embark on their own adventures.”
