Last spring Virginia Tech participated in the COACHE survey of faculty job satisfaction for the fifth time. All instructional faculty (tenured, tenure track, collegiate, clinical, continued appointment, and instructors) were invited to complete the survey. The 44 percent who responded provided insight into faculty perceptions of many aspects of campus life at Virginia Tech.

The report results are now available on the VT COACHE website (https://faculty.vt.edu/faculty-development/coache-survey.html)

Beginning with a Virtual Town Hall on September 21, the Provost’s Office has launched a series of presentations and conversations around campus about how Virginia Tech can use these results to inform action. The provost’s goal is to share the data broadly, and to work with groups around campus to analyze and interpret the data to support existing and future initiatives in support of faculty.

To request a presentation and discussion around a particular aspect of the results, email Rachel Gabriele, assistant provost for faculty initiatives and policies, at rachelvg@vt.edu.
