Formed in 1993, the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences Ambassadors Program provides more than 3,000 volunteer hours to the college and the college departments each year. Student ambassadors build their leadership skills and their résumés, while providing crucial service to the college. Students receive a unique networking experience as they interact with faculty, administrators, staff, parents, alumni, and prospective students.

As the ambassadors serve a critical role as the college’s student representatives, the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs conducts an annual competitive process that includes a paper application and interviews. New student members are selected in the fall to join the program. More than 50 students are part of the program.

Current ambassadors will be participating in two virtual information sessions to share details on the ambassador experience and the application process in advance of the application process going live on October 12. Students may sign up here to participate in an information session on Wednesday, September 30, at 12 p.m. or Tuesday, October 6, at 7 p.m.

Applications will be accepted through November 1. Questions should be directed to Meghan Jester at meghan09@vt.edu.
