Emily Hemmer completed a B.A.E. in English and Spanish 7-12 Education with a minor in international studies from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She earned her M.A .in English: Language and Linguistics from the University of New Hampshire with her research in internet sociolinguistics, online ethnography, and identity titled “‘the blonks and armchairs are at it again’: Indexing identity and manipulating the algorithm on’ K-pop stan Twitter.” Emily Hemmer's professional experience includes time as a Graduate Assistant at the Univeristy of New Hampshire and as a Native English Teacher in Asan, South Korea. Her interests include travel, media literacy, and learning about new langauges and cultures.
