College Funding Opportunities

The Film Support Fund is designed to foster and sustain film screenings and festivals across the college by assisting with major costs such as screening rights and venue rentals. The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences offers multiple sources of funding for projects, presentations, research, and other events that support international learning, scholarship, and engagement. The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences supports faculty seeking funds to publish books and articles. Funds for books may support publication costs, including subventions, indexing, translation, and other related steps, as well as optional Open Access fees. Funds for articles may support mandatory Article Processing Charges as well as optional Open Access fees.  Eligible faculty include tenured, tenure-track, collegiate, practice, and continuing instructors. Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis. Books must be accepted by the editors before funds may be requested. The rolling deadline is the first Tuesday of each month, beginning November 4, 2025. Contact Tom Ewing etewing@vt.edu with questions.
