Sherri Craig is an assistant professor of English in the Rhetoric and Writing Program. Her research is multifaceted and encompasses writing across the curriculum; institutional rhetorics; Black feminist studies; critical pedagogy; mentoring; diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in the workplace; and professional writing.

Much of Dr. Craig’s current research activity centers on how Black women and femmes navigate and build community in and across writing studies. Recent responses in the field to calls for more diversity, equity, inclusion, and access have changed and challenged our relationships to each other and the spaces we inhabit. Examining the language and documents created in our ivory towers and hallowed halls for supporting these Black bodies and other historically marginalized folx is the keystone to her work.
