Research Funding and Awards

The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences invites tenured, tenure-track, and collegiate faculty to apply for grants ($7,000 maximum) to support research activities and creative work. Faculty Research Grants support scholarly outcomes including articles, books, chapters, edited volumes, creative works, presentations, exhibits, and more, as well as work leading to the submission of proposals for external funding. These grants may fund a range of expenses, including research assistance,  trips domestically and internationally, summer salary, publication costs, purchase of survey results and other data, and certain types of equipment.

Call for Proposals for Freedom Scholars to support research on themes of freedom within scholarly areas of expertise: $5000 in summer 2026 salary and funds to support a visiting scholar working on related topics. Deadline September 15, 2025.
