Jenna Zan is a writing instructor and the associate director of the University Writing Program (UWP). She teaches First-Year Writing, advanced writing & research, and technical writing. Her research areas include Southeast Asian Rhetorics, autoethnography, memory studies, oral histories, pluriversality, and hauntology. She received the 2026 Joyce Gentry Smoot Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Jenna’s writing appears in Rhetoric Review, Rhetoric Society Quarterly, and The Routledge Handbook of Rhetoric and Power.
