College Recognized Faculty and Staff with Annual Awards

In the spring of 2021 the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences recognized the following faculty and staff members with awards in advising, teaching, diversity, outreach, research and creative scholarship, and employee excellence.
Certificate of Teaching Excellence recipients were: Danille Christensen, Religion and Culture; Katharine Cleland, English; Benjamin Katz, Human Development and Family Science; Trevor Stewart, School of Education; Jessica Taylor, History; and Hyesoo Yoo, Performing Arts.
An Excellence in Advising Award was presented to David Brunsma, Sociology, and to Sonja Schmid, Science, Technology, and Society. Diversity Award winners were: Andrea Baldwin, Sociology, and a combined award to Katie Carmichael and Erika Meitner, both in English.
Amy Price Azano, Education, was the recipient of the Land Grant Scholar Award.
Excellence in Outreach and International Initiatives Award recipients were: Biko Agozino, Sociology; Douglas Lind, Philosophy; and Bonnie Zare, Sociology. Cara Daggett, Political Science; Su Fang Ng, English; and Annie Stevens, Performing Arts, received the Excellence in Research and Creative Scholarship Award.
The Staff Employee of the Year Award was presented to two recipients this year: Dee Hopkins, student advisor and recruiter in the School of Performing Arts, and Jeanette McLingberg, fiscal senior support technician in the Office of Academic Programs, School of Education.
There will be a ceremony in the fall to recognize this year’s as well as last year’s winners.
