Edward Gitre, an assistant professor in the Department of History, was awarded an Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology SEAD grant as Principal Investigator for “Transforming Public Engagement with Underrepresented Stories through Humanities Sources and Immersive Experiences.” Gitre will develop and test a VR/AR prototype for public exhibits that will allow visitors to explore and engage with large documentary collections in an immersive environment.
