Timothy Luke, University Distinguished Professor and chair of the Department of Political Science, published “The Dark Enlightenment and the Anthropocene: Readings from the Book of Third Nature as Political Theology,” Telos: Critical Theory of the Contemporary 194 (Spring 2021): 45–68.

He also was recognized at a Distinguished Scholar Session of the International Studies Association’s annual meeting, held virtually April 6–9, as the winner of the 2021 Science, Technology, and Arts in International Relations (STAIR) Distinguished Scholar Award “Transversal Acts.”

The award recognizes sustained interdisciplinary scholarly contributions to how science, technology, and arts permeate international politics; it also celebrates research that cuts across disciplinary boundaries and proposes critical interventions that interrogate, disrupt, and reassemble interdisciplinary problematics relevant to the study of science, technology, and arts in International Relations.
