Sweta Baniya’s Class Collaborated on Online Exhibition
May 3, 2021
The impact of the Fall 2020 online service-learning technical writing class taught by Sweta Baniya, an assistant professor in the Department of English, on rural communities in Nepal during the COVID-19 pandemic is described in the University Libraries’ virtual exhibit, “Ut Prosim Beyond Boundaries: Global Outreach during the Pandemic.”
The exhibit documents the collaboration of the VT students with Code for Nepal, an international nonprofit organization that works to enhance digital literacy among women in rural Nepal’s marginalized population.
Baniya has been partnering with Code for Nepal since 2018 on service-learning projects. Background information about the exhibit can be found here.
