Julie Gerdes and Adrienne Holz-Ivory Research Social Media Misinformation Influences on People’s Intention to Receive Covid-19 Vaccine

Two College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences faculty members, Julie Gerdes, an assistant professor in the Department of English, and Adrienne Holz-Ivory, and associate professor in the School of Communication, are serving as collaborators on a project researching how social media misinformation influences people’s intention to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
The project, which focuses on the Appalachian region, is funded by the Fralin Life Sciences Institute and the Data and Decisions Destination Area.
