Educational Leadership and Policy Studies

educational leadership doctoral student cohort smiles confidently at the camera

For over forty years, we have developed Excellence in Leadership with our Educational Leadership and Policy Studies programs for future K-12 school principals, school division superintendents,  central office administrators, university administrators, and state department of education officials.  Many of our graduates go on to serve non-profits and become university faculty as well.

Designed to fit the needs of working professionals, our programs can be completed on a part- or full-time basis, with coursework that incorporates modern theories with real-life practice.

Reimagining the future begins with educational leadership practices that put educational excellence, innovation, and equity at the fore. At the Virginia Tech School of Education, you will develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to transform teaching and learning, conduct groundbreaking research, and engage with learning communities around the world.

As a global catalyst for individual transformation, we’re pushing the boundaries of knowledge and practice to reimagine a more equitable and just world.
