Our mission is to amplify and support the success and many efforts of the School of Education programs, centers, faculty, staff, and students.

Below, you will find links to the various resources provided by the SOE Communications team.

The SOE is often asked to provide overview information on our faculty, and the information we have on our website currently varies widely and is rarely in the same format. We would like to update our webpages and have standard language we may share with others when requested. Please use this form to provide this information: https://bit.ly/2021_SOE_Faculty

Please also email your current CV to soecommunications@vt.edu If you feel you have information you would like to share in addition to that requested on the form, please include that in the email as well. We want to reflect your information accurately and professionally.

This news tips and story ideas request form is operated by the School of Education (SOE) Communications team for collecting content to be featured on its  website, social media platforms, and our newsletters. Faculty, staff, and students, and alumni of the at SOE are encouraged to submit varied forms of content to showcase SOE academic programs, highlight faculty,  and student, and alumni scholarship, feature activities and achievements, share stories, and celebrate every member of the SOE community.

This website update request form is operated by School of Education (SOE) Communications team for collecting requested updates, additions, deletions, and corrections for the soe.vt.edu website. All requests received will be reviewed by a member of the team and if additional details are required, you will be contacted.

Please use this form for incidental and minor page updates and/or revisions. We ask that you allow up to 7 days for completion of the request.

For major changes such as overhauls, new visions for an approach, or new centers, please email us directly and we will schedule a call with you to understand the scope of the changes necessary. The implementation project effort is a collaborative, iterative process, and we will work to ensure your needs and expectations are met.

This event announcement request form is operated by School of Education (SOE) Communications team for collecting the details necessary to advertise an upcoming event sponsored by any program, office, committee, or group within the School of Education.  All requests received will be reviewed by a member of the team and if additional details are required, you will be contacted.

Adding life and excitement to our documents, presentations, and materials is always an interesting challenge. Below are links to websites with free resources. Please ensure that you credit the artists and creators as requested on that website. We welcome suggestions from our faculty, staff, and students as you discover worthy additions. Please vet these before you send them our way. 

ClipArt etc from the University of South Florida

Pexels.com is a rich resource of free videos and photos

Unsplash is another rich source of free images.

Wikimedia Commons has over 70M freely usable media files

Openclipart has a wide variety of clipart available.

Looking for textures to add interest to presentations, websites, or media? Freestock Textures is a great source.

The Noun Project's mission is to build a global visual language. 

YouTube offers an audio library with clips of free music and sound effects for your use.

The CLAHS maintains an extensive Knowledge Base with many links and insights into how their operations work and answers to a wide variety of questions you may have. Some of their SOE-specific information may be out of date, however. If you have questions, please email soecommunications@vt.edu for clarification.
