Political Science major Hannah Upson was one of five Virginia Tech undergraduates selected to represent Virginia Tech at the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Meeting of the Minds Conference. Her presentation was titled “When the Right to Access (Life) Becomes a Burden”: Accessibility to Public Health for Disabled People in Virginia during the Covid-19 Pandemic” and her faculty mentor was Ashley Shew, Department of Science, Technology, and Society. The conference took place April 1–3 at the University of Virginia. Virginia Tech representatives were selected by a competitive referred process.
