The Institute for Society, Culture and Environment (ISCE) is hosting a virtual webinar on online survey methodology on January 27, 2021, from 12 to 1 p.m., the first of two methods workshops focused on online social science data collection methods.

Four panelists, listed below, will describe working with Qualtrics, MTurk and AmeriSpeak, including working with international respondents and panels. The panelists are:

  • James Hawdon, Department of Sociology, Virginia Tech;
  • Aaron Ogletree, American Institutes for Research;
  • Daniel Costanza, NORC at University of Chicago; and
  • Nathaniel Porter, University Libraries, Virginia Tech.

Join us for moderated discussion with Q&A from experts at Virginia Tech, American Institutes for Research, and NORC at University of Chicago. Survey resources at Virginia Tech will also be presented.

The second webinar in the series will be held on Thursday, February 4, from 2 to 3 p.m. The session, “Online Observational and Experimental Data Collection Methods for Social Sciences,” will include a moderated panel presentation and discussion with scholars.
