Lieutenant Colonel Taylor Lee

Lieutenant Colonel Taylor Lee graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in History and commissioned as an Engineer officer in 2008. His initial assignment was with 3rd Infantry Division, Ft. Stewart, GA, serving as a Mechanized Infantry and Scout Platoon Leader. He later served as a Company Commander in 554th Engineer Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Following command, he served as an Engineer Company Observer Coach Trainer at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) in Hohenfels, Germany. Prior to attending the Command and General Staff College (CGSC), LTC Lee served as the Assistant Chief of Plans for the Combined Arms Center (CAC) at Fort Leavenworth, KS.  After graduating CGSC, LTC Lee was assigned to 1^st Stryker Brigade Combat Team 25^th Infantry Division at Fort Wainwright, AK where he served as the 70th Brigade Engineer Battalion Operations Officer and Brigade Combat Team Operations Officer.  He remained with the unit during brigade transition from a Stryker Brigade to an Arctic Infantry Brigade Combat Team where he served as the Brigade Executive Officer for 1^st Brigade 11^th Airborne Division.  Following time as the Brigade Executive Officer, he took command of the Northern Warfare Training Center (NWTC) at Fort Wainwright and Black Rapids Training Site in Alaska. LTC Lee and his family arrive to the New River Battalion following two years as the NWTC Commandant. 

LTC Lee has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. His military education includes the Engineer Basic Officer Leadership Course, the Engineer Captains Career Course, the Engineer-Explosive Ordinance Clearance Agent Course, Command and General Staff College, Airborne, and Ranger School.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (with two oak leaf clusters), Army Commendation Medal (with oak leaf cluster), Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Ranger Tab, Combat Action Badge, Expert Soldier Badge, and Parachutist Badge.
