Master Sergeant Lucas Parrish

MSG Lucas Parrish is a native of Goochland, Virginia. He joined the United States Army on November 2005 and completed Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Moore, GA, graduating as an Infantryman (11B).

MSG Parrish first unit was Bravo Company, 1st Battalion 14th Infantry Regiment (GOLDEN DRAGONS), 2nd Brigade 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, HI. He served in numerous positions to include Fire Team Leader. In 2010, he served as a Recruiter at the Richmond Recruiting Station and recognized for being the top High School Recruiter in the unit. His success contributed to the Battalion being selected as the #1 in United States Army Recruiting Command. In 2013, MSG Parrish was assigned to Charlie Troop, 3rd Battalion, 61st Calvary regiment, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, CO. He served as Squad Leader as well as a Platoon Sergeant. 2017, MSG Parrish attended the Army Drill Sergeant Academy. Upon graduation, he was assigned as a Drill Sergeant to 3rd Chemical Brigade, Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment, For Leonard Wood, MO. MSG Parrish served as a Senior Drill Sergeant, graduating thirteen Basic Combat Training Cycles and impacting over 5000 junior enlisted Soldiers. He was awarded Drill Sergeant of the cycle three times for his professionalism and dedication to duty. 2020, MSG Parrish was assigned to 2nd Brigade, 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry regiment, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY. He served as a Platoon Sergeant and a First Sergeant.

MSG Parrish completed combat tours to Iraq (2007-2009) in support Operation Iraqi Freedom. Deployed twice to Afghanistan (2014 & 2016) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. Deployed to Eastern Europe (2022) in support of Operation European Assure Deter and Reinforce.

MSG Parrish military and civilian education includes; Combat Life Saver Course, Warrior Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, U.S. Army Air Assault School, Advanced Situational Awareness Course, U.S. Army Recruiting School, U.S. Army Drill Sergeant School, Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, Company Commander and First Sergeant Course, SHARP Foundation Course and Equal Opportunity Leaders Course. MSG Parrish has 65 semester hours’ towards a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.

MSG Parrish's awards and decorations include Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with tress oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Canorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal with five oak leaf clusters, Iraq Campaign Medal with campaign star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, Air Assault Badge, and Combat Infantryman's Badge.

MSG Parrish has been married for 14 years to Kristine Parrish. They have two sons, Lance (age 23) and Landon (age 12).
