Captain (Retired) Buck Kellogg joined the VT Army ROTC program as the Scholarship and Enrollment Officer in the spring of 2020. In this role, he performs all duties associated with recruiting, retention and incentive management activities.
He comes to the ROTC program with 28 years of Army experience as a Logistics Officer and a prior enlisted Sergeant First Class Infantry Drill Sergeant. His most recent duty before retiring from the Army in 2015 was as an Assistant Professor of Military Science (APMS) at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to coming to San Antonio, he commanded a Forward Support Company in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, KY. He is a Criminology and Criminal Justice Major and a graduate of The Ohio State University.
Mr. Kellogg’s deployment experience includes one tour to Iraq (2007-2008), as a Platoon Leader and Convoy Commander, and one tour to Afghanistan (2010) as a Battalion S4.

Mr. Kellogg is married to Lisa Kellogg and has one son. Aside from work, he enjoy kayak fishing and woodworking.
