Sergeant Major Jason Guthrie

SGM Jason S. Guthrie is a native of Wichita, Kansas. In September 2000 he attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Knox, KY and was awarded the Military Occupation Specialty of Cavalry Scout (19D). SGM Guthrie most recently served as the Senior Military Science Instructor at University of Notre Dame.

SGM Guthrie completed combat tours in Iraq (2003-2004) and Afghanistan (2006-2007, 2011-2012 & 2014. He completed operational deployments to Belize and Thailand. 

SGM Guthrie's military education includes the Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, USA Drill Sergeant School, Master Resilience Trainer Course, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Program Course, Pathfinder, Total Army Instructor Course, Combatives Level 1, Observer Controller Course, Master Counter IED Course, Army Reconnaissance Course, Company Commander/First Sergeant Course and the Master Educator Course.

 MSG Guthrie is married to Mary and has a daughter and son.
