Sergeant First Class (Retd) Michel Klossner is from Constableville, NY which is located in the northern New York Tug Hill Region and currently resides in Southwest West Virginia.  Mr. Klossner honorably served 24 years as a Non-Commissioned Officer and worked as a Senior Human Resource NCO, Training NCO, Medical NCO, Instructor and Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/T) and various other duties when required throughout his career.

Mr. Klossner served in multiple staff, leadership and training positions during his military career to include Battalion S1 PSNCO and for the 1ST Squadron 10th Calvary Regiment, within the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Hood, TX; Brigade S1 PSNCO/OC-T for the 2nd Brigade, 78th Training Division out of Fort Drum, NY; Battalion S1 PSNCO and Company Human Resource NCO/Pre-Basic Instructor/Armorer NCO for the 320th Military Police Battalion, 300th Military Police Brigade located in Ashley, PA; USAREC Region 8 Retention Human Resource NCOIC, Finance NCO, Medical NCO and member of Army Reserve Cycling Team while stationed at the 88th Regional Readiness Command in Fort Snelling, MN; Brigade S1 NCOIC for the 174th Infantry Brigade, First Army Division East at Fort Drum, NY; Brigade S1 NCOIC for the 72nd Field Artillery Brigade, First Army Division East at Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst, NJ; Battalion S1 NCOIC, Training NCO, Finance NCO, Medical NCO for the 854th Combat Engineer Battalion at Saugerties, NY; Headquarters and Headquarters Company Human Resource NCOIC, Training NCO, Finance NCO, Medical NCO for the 86th Training Division HHC at Fort McCoy, WI; Battalion S1 NCOIC, Training NCO, Finance NCO, Medical NCO for the 401st Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) at Webster, NY;  After his military career he was also the Commercial/Residential property and land annual appraiser, as well as a Commercial/local business/personal property annual tax assessments county official for the Mercer County, WV Assessor’s office.

Mr. Klossner’s military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC) at Fort Dix, NJ; Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/T) with First Army Division East at Fort Drum, NY; Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course (BNCOC) at Fort Jackson, SC; Senior Leadership Course (SLC) at Fort Jackson, SC.

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (3), Army Commendation Medal (2), Army Achievement Medal (5), Army Good Conduct Medal (7) and an Army Superior Unit Award.

Mr. Klossner is married to April Klossner (Virginia native), currently serving with over 20 years in Federal Law Enforcement with the Bureau of Prisons. Prior to her Federal employment, Mrs. Klossner also severed with Virginia State Law Enforcement within the Department of Corrections for over nine years.  The Klossner’s have a combined total of six daughters and 11 grandchildren
