The Fashion Merchandising and Design (FMD) program in the Department of Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management was accredited by the Textile and Apparel Programs Accreditation Commission, the official accrediting organization for higher education programs in textiles, apparel, and related areas. Virginia Tech’s FMD program is one of only seven programs in the United States to have achieved this accreditation. The leader of the accreditation team was Jung Eun Lee, FMD Program Director.
