Mauro Caraccioli, an associate professor in the Department of Political Science and core faculty in ASPECT, served as one of three plenary speakers at the University of Florida Liberal Arts and Sciences 2023 Political Science Alumni Conference, which took place April 17–18 in Gainesville. His talk was titled “Savage Pasts, Baroque Futures: Racial Hierarchy and the Political Theology of Spanish Empire.”
