Among the 12 graduate students selected for the 2023 Graduate School Diversity Scholars cohort were four from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences:

  • Catherine Cotrupi, doctoral student in Higher Education
  • C. Meranda Flachs-Surmanek, master’s student in Urban and Regional Planning and in Theatre Arts
  • Gia Ha, master’s student in Urban and Regional Planning and in Sustainable Land Development
  • Rebecca Steele, doctoral student in Higher Education

The scholars are graduate students who specialize in and advocate for the awareness, knowledge, and skills associated with diversity, equity, and inclusion across the university and the surrounding communities. The students shared their projects during a showcase event held on April 27.
