The Virginia Tech Career and Technical Education program has been awarded a grant by Fulbright-Hayes for a study abroad program entitled Globalization Business Skills, Diversity Awareness, and Entrepreneurship Workforce Development project in Zambia.

Twelve participants will journey to Zambia for a month-long trip to experience the teaching and learning of CTE in a culturally different setting. Participants will interact with Zambian students, teachers, administrators, and business/general local community members to gain first-hand knowledge about the content, form, and goals of CTE and the relationship between CTE and the nation’s economy.

Eligible participants:

  • All Virginia Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Training teachers and administrators
  • Current Virginia Tech CTE graduate students
