Webinar: “A Crisis of Democracy”

Thursday, January 21, 6:00–7:00 p.m.

The deadly storming of the Capitol Building on January 6 dramatically underscored the current crisis in American democracy.  “A Crisis of Democracy” brings together Virginia Tech scholars to examine the state of democracy in the United States today, while also making connections to the global political landscape.  Dean Laura Belmonte will moderate the panel discussion, which features:  Farida Jalalzai, Associate Dean for Global Initiatives and Engagement and Professor of Political Science; Brandy Faulkner, Gloria D. Smith Professor of Black Studies and Collegiate Assistant Professor of Political Science; and Michael Horning, Associate Professor of Multimedia Journalism.  More information.
