Two ASPECT doctoral students presented papers at the National Women’s Studies Association Conference, which took place November 10–13 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Casey Anne Brimmer spoke on “Decentering Whiteness as the Assumed Norm of Feminisms; Or, How Black Feminisms Made Room for Me That ‘Feminism’ Didn’t.”

Leah Ramnath presented “Cynical Geographies: Contours of the Kitchen Table” as well as “Cynical (Dis)Positions: Cultivating Cynical Sensibilities,” which was part of the conference’s Standpoints: Black Feminist Knowledges Roundtable.
