Farida Jalalzai was appointed associate dean for global initiatives and engagement in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences and professor in the Department of Political Science.

She most recently served as professor and dead of the Department of Political Science at Oklahoma State University.

Jalalzai’s research focuses on the representation and behavior of women and minorities in politics and the role of gender in the political arena.

In this newly created position, she will further enhance the college’s robust international profile.
