The website Performing History: Women and the Vote showcases performances and work by Virginia Tech and Radford University students.

Co-created by Amanda Nelson, an associate professor in the School of Performing Arts, and Molly Hood, Radford University, the collaborative theatre project was produced in honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19thAmendment, which granted women the right to vote.

Originally planned as a traditional stage performance, the project was transformed into an online performance website during spring break of 2020.

The project was made possible through an Instructional Innovation Grant from the Virginia Tech Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and a CVPA Research/Scholarly Project Award from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Radford University.
