Rebecca Weaver-Hightower was appointed professor and chair of the Department of English.

She most recently served as professor and chair of the Department of English at North Dakota State University.

Weaver-Hightower earned her Ph.D. in English Literature; her research and teaching focus on the areas of postcolonial studies and settler narratives.

Her most recent book, Frontier Fictions: Settler Sagas and Postcolonial Guilt, was published by Palgrave McMillan in 2018.
