College Faculty Recognized at Research Excellence Celebration 2022

Six College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences faculty were recognized at the Research Excellence Celebration 2022 organized by the Office of Research and Innovation. Faculty who received significant recognition from national and international groups for their research, scholarly, and creative impact were:
- Danna Agmon, associate professor in the Department of History, Willem Koren, Jr., Prize, Society for French Historical Studies
- Charlene Eska, professor in the Department of English, Guggenheim Fellowship
- Edward Polanco, assistant professor in the Department of History, National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship
Brett Jones, a professor in the School of Education, was recognized as a recipient of the 2022 Alumni Award for Research Excellence.
Among the 18 researchers who led the university’s largest sponsored programs awarded in FY 2022 was Maaz Gardezi, an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology.
Among the four faculty recognized for exceptional creative achievement this past year was Alexander Dickow, an associate professor in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures. The celebration took place October 19; details are available here.
