Instructional Design and Technology doctoral student Douglas Asante was recognized by the Virginia Tech Center for International Research, Education, and Development for developing and delivering online workshops on how to teach and manage large classes in the Train the Trainers Program.

The workshops, both titled “Creating an English Language Center to Build Writing and Publication Capacity,” took place January 14–June 30, 2021, with the University of Mosul, Iraq, and February 14–August 31, 2022, with Tikrit University, Iraq.
