Lucinda Roy, Alumni Distinguished Professor in the Department of English, published the novel Flying the Coop (New York, New York: Tor/Macmillan, 2022), the second volume of The Dreambird Chronicles trilogy, as well as “Inventing a Game for a Future Disunited States” on the Tor/Forge Blog on August 2.

In addition, Roy was featured in “Altered Americas,” a conversation about her novels The Freedom Race and Flying the Coop as well as B.L. Blanchard’s The Peacekeeper as part of the Library of Congress National Book Festival, which took place September 3 in Washington, D.C.; Flying the Coop was selected as a featured novel by the Library of Congress.
