Jim Kuypers, a professor in the School of Communication, edited Public Communication in the Time of COVID-19: Perspectives from the Communication Discipline on the Pandemic (Lanham, Maryland: Lexington Books, 2022). His personal contributions to the volume were: “Introduction,” pp. xi– xviii, and “Journalism Framing in (Times of) Crisis: The Inevitability of Poor Reporting during the COVID-19 Pandemic,” pp. 23–54, with Michael Horning, an associate professor in the School of Communication.
The volume also includes chapters by the following School of Communication faculty: Nneka Logan and Chelsea Woods, “Confronting the Coronavirus: How Public Relations Can Foster Trust during Crisis,” pp. 81–110; and Brandi Watkins, “This Just Got Real: Implications of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Sport Communication,” pp. 111–36.
