Jeff Mann, an associate professor in the Department of English, published the anniversary edition of Purgatory: A Novel of the Civil War (2012; Maple Shade, New Jersey: Lethe Press, 2022), which includes his novella, “Camp Allegheny.”

In addition, the Jeff Mann Papers are now housed in the West Virginia and Regional History Center at West Virginia University, where Mann earned his two bachelor’s degrees. The collection chronicles his writing beginning with early poems penned in Morgantown in the 1980s; it includes more than 300 poems as well as novels, short stories, essays, working manuscripts of unpublished works, publicity, and correspondence materials.
