Centers and Funded Projects
The Center for Instructional Technology Solutions in Industry and Education is a research and development center with a focus in the following areas: Design, development, and evaluation of learning experiences; Distance learning; Health promotion; Preparation of instructional technology professionals; and Innovations in technology.
The center encourages international and cross-cultural outreach activities to clients in K-12, higher education, governmental settings, and nongovernmental organizations at home and abroad. CRaDIE coordinates faculty research and scholarship in the international dimension of the Virginia Tech School of Education.
The mission of the Training & Technical Assistance Center (T/TAC) is to improve educational opportunities and contribute to the success of children and youth with disabilities (birth–22 years)
The mission of the Virginia Career VIEW (Vital Information for Education and Work) is to inform, encourage, and support the education and career development of the people of Virginia.
The AGEP Alliance is a funded project with a focus on advancing the Faculty Careers of Historically Underrepresented STEM Doctoral Candidates Who are Instructors at Historically Black Universities
Labs and Collaboratory
The Educational Technology Lab or ETLab is a part of the School of Education at Virginia Tech. We are here to help you with any of your technology needs related to teaching, research, and discovery. Our lab is well equipped with multimedia development machines and software, and devices to use in a classroom setting for teaching and research. The STEM Education Collaboratory is located in 112 Seitz Hall on the Virginia Tech main campus in Blacksburg, Virginia. It provides the space and equipment to conduct interdisciplinary outreach, professional development, research and instruction in integrating science education, technology education, K-12 engineering education, and mathematics education.
The Consultation Lab provides consulting services and access to computer resources to students and faculty in the School of Education. Consultation is available relating to research and evaluation design, instrument development, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
