W. Wat Hopkins, a professor in the School of Communication, received the Distinguished Service Award from the Law and Policy Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) in recognition of nearly 40 years of service to the division, including 20 years as editor of Communication Law and Policy, the division’s quarterly peer-reviewed law journal. The award was presented at the AEJMC annual convention, which took place August 3–6 in Detroit, Michigan.
