David Alexander, a professor in the School of Education, received the 2022 Theodore “Ted” Creighton Publication Innovation Award from the International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership.

The award, named for Theodore Creighton, a Virginia Tech professor emeritus and former executive director of the organization who now serves on the council’s executive board, recognizes Alexander’s record of publications and presentations, as well as his innovative ideas, projects, and approaches to improving practice, communication, and scholarship in the educational leadership field. The annual award also acknowledges his commitment to helping graduate students publish their early research and scholarship.
