LaDale Winling Received Alumni Achievement Award from Western Michigan University and Honorable Mention for Arnold Hirsch Best Article Award

LaDale Winling, an associate professor in the Department of History, received the Alumni Achievement Award from the Department of History at Western Michigan University, where he earned both his B.A. and M.A. degrees. Winling also was recognized with honorable mention for the Arnold Hirsch Best Article Award in a Scholarly Journal published in 2020 for “New Perspectives on New Deal Housing Policy: Explicating and Mapping HOLC Loans to African Americans,” Journal of Urban History 46.1 (2020): 150–80, with Todd Michney; the award was made by the Urban History Association.
