Jake Lyman, a Sports Media and Analytics senior, was the inaugural winner of the Tech Sideline Endowed Scholarship for Sports Journalism. The scholarship is endowed by TechSideline.com, a website dedicated to covering Virginia Tech athletics that was launched by Virginia Tech alumnus Will Stewart in 1996. Lyman has worked for Tech Sideline since his freshman year, contributing 234 different pieces to the website’s content, including transcripts of Tech Talk Live notes, original articles, and podcasts
