Jack Welsome, a senior cadet in the Army ROTC program and Biomedical Engineering major, was awarded the Bronze Cross for Outstanding Achievement by the Legion of Valor. Only one of every 4,000 Army ROTC cadets receives the honor each year; Welsome recently was ranked in sixth place among more than 6,000 senior Army ROTC cadets in the nation. The Legion of Valor was established in 1890 and serves to recognize members of the Armed Forces of the United States and to promote patriotic allegiance.
