Carol Mullen Received Theodore “Ted” Creighton Publication Innovation Award
Carol Mullen, a professor in the School of Education, received the 2020 Theodore “Ted” Creighton Publication Innovation Award from the International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership.
The award, named for Theodore Creighton, a Virginia Tech professor emeritus and former executive director of the organization who now serves on the council’s executive board, recognizes Mullen’s record of publications and presentations, as well as her innovative ideas, projects, and approaches to improving practice, communication, and scholarship in the educational leadership field. The annual award also acknowledges her commitment to helping graduate students publish their early research and scholarship.
Mullen also was the recipient of the 2020 University of Toronto Ontario Institute for Studies in Education Leaders and Legends: Excellence Award. The award recognizes outstanding alumni who are committed to making an impact on the lives of others while pursuing excellence in education.
