Sylvester Johnson, director of the Center for Humanities, was featured on the public radio show “With Good Reason” the week of January 25 on its program titled “The Future is Now” in the segment, “Toward a Data Democracy.”

Johnson discusses how we humans must decide for ourselves how to live in a world where intelligent machines and algorithmic systems are determining issues of medicine, electricity, prison sentences, and eligibility for public assistance. The program is available here.
