The Department of Religion and Culture was one of three academic units at Virginia Tech to receive a 2019 Exemplary Department or Program Award.  This year’s theme was “Collaborating Beyond Department/Program Boundaries for Exceptional Student Learning.”    The Department of Religion and Culture was honored for its merging of technological innovation with conceptual and ethical insights of the humanities, engaging with the land-grant mission in multifaceted ways, and commitment to the rigorous study of cultural and religious diversity locally as well as globally.  The award recipients were honored at a reception hosted by the Office of the Provost and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
