Barbara Lockee Inducted into the Rhododendron Society of the Reich College of Education at Appalachian State University and Published in Two Journals

Barbara Lockee, a professor in the School of Education, was inducted into the Rhododendron Society of the Reich College of Education at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. The society recognizes distinguished alumni of the college whose service as teachers, librarians, human service professionals or administrators has reflected great credit on themselves, the field of education and the University. The ceremony took place June 10.
In addition, Lockee published “Building a Community of Practice in the Workplace: A Case Study at a University Information Technology Call Center,” International Journal of Smart Education and Urban Society 13.1 (2022), Article 62, with 2019 Instructional Design and Technology alumna Qing Zhang; and “Beyond Design: The Systemic Nature of Distance Delivery Mode Selection,” Distance Education 43(2), 43.2 (2022): 204–20 with Instructional Design and Technology alumni Samantha Blevins, Mark Bond, and Brooke McGowin.
